traditional Chinese Yixing Zisha purple clay tea set, complete with a teapot and matching tea cups nested in an orange satin-lined presentation box. Made from Zisha (purple clay) sourced from the Yixing region in Jiangsu Province, China. The unglazed clay is porous, which allows it to absorb the essential oils and flavors of teas over time. Typically used for Gongfu tea ceremonies, featuring smaller pots and cups designed for multiple short infusions rather than large mugs of tea.
All in unused perfect condition, exterior of the box has wear to some edges.
