A genuine Alto pigeon blood vase. Ginbari Meiji period. Believed to be late 19th century. It has a decoration of bamboo with cranes in a spectacular Alto style. This is a rare piece unusual in that it has the silver undertones laid in red enamel with clear enamel to the surface. A stunning collectible that has to be seen to be truly appreciated.
