A truly superb item, fantastic colours and a very nice size, very unusual.
Sancai is a traditional Chinese lead-glaze technique, most famous during the Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD), known for its vibrant, streaky application of amber-brown, green, and blue on earthenware, the glazes are known to run and mix during firing, creating a mottled or striped effect. Because of this, features or detailed parts were often left unglazed.
